Abstract

In this study, the aimed to determine the incidence, serotypes and the contaminationsources of Salmonella in production units of broiler integration. The total 51 532 material has been viewed from broiler breeders farms, hatchery, feed manufacturing unit, broiler farms, slaughterhouse and rendering unit. The blood agarused for chicks? organs, filtration used for water samples and the ISO 6579 method usedfor the other materials in isolation of Salmonella.According to the findings of our study, there wasn?t find any positive in breedersunit but Salmonella spp. Isolation was performed in hatchery (0.04%), feed productionunit (0.64%), broiler farms (2.79%), slaughterhouse (22.14%) and rendering (% 2.4)units.The S. Infantis (57.6%) was found the dominant serotype in serotyping. Theother isolated serotypes respectively S. Mbandaka (14.6%), S. Senftenberg (7.1%), S.Virchow (5.6%), S. Kentucky (% 5), S. Bongor (4.7%), S. Tennessee (4%), S.Meleagridis (1.4%), S. Carrau (0.7%), S. Worthington (0.4%), S. Agona (% 0.38), S.Liverpool (0.08%), S. Bredeney (0.08%), S. Livingstone (0.08%), S. Brandenburg (%0.04), S. Cerro (% 0.04), S. Manhattan (% 0.04), S. Newport (% 0.04), S.Bovismorbificans (% 0.04).According to the findings of the study, the high Salmonella positivity inslaughterhouse samples, identified the need for prevention of cross contamination in thisunit. As a result, the implementation of the control of Salmonella in broiler flocks werefound that importance for human health.Key Words: Broiler, control, integration, isolation, Salmonella
